Sardine on Cracker — Original ACEO Mini Painting
Between the ocean and the sky, there is a moment.
The ocean is the unconscious — deep, dark, mysterious, and largely unexplored. The sky is consciousness, the known world, the life we can see. And in the liminal space between them, a sardine floats on a cracker, studded with crystals that catch the light.
This is the empty hallway Carl Jung spoke of. The place between the old life and the new one — where the mask has crumbled but the transformation has not yet arrived. It is uncomfortable here. It is uncertain. And it is absolutely necessary.
Sardine on Cracker is a painting about surrender. About floating when you cannot yet swim. About trusting that just beyond the unknown, something extraordinary is waiting.
The crystals are not decoration. They are the light in the dark.
