Twice, I have owned a Tiffany keychain. Twice, that perfect little silver ball — the one that holds everything together — has vanished without a trace. No warning. No goodbye. Just gone. And I am now firmly convinced that somewhere out there exists a parallel universe populated entirely by missing socks and little silver balls from Tiffany keychains.
This painting is for everyone who has ever lost something small and inexplicably perfect, and felt the specific, disproportionate grief of it. The iconic blue box glitters on, unbothered and immaculate, while the little black marble sits quietly at its feet — a stand-in for everything we can’t explain and can’t get back.
