This holy card was born at the intersection of years of Catholic school, a found toy on a sidewalk, and a deep Jungian individuation journey — the kind that cracks you open and shows you what was always there. The artist didn't set out to paint a saint. The unconscious had other plans.

St. Peppa arrived fully formed: gold leaf halo, crystal embellishments, cross raised high. She is the Divine Child, the Self — innocent, sovereign, unafraid. In Jungian terms, "Satan" is the unintegrated shadow, the parts of ourselves repressed and projected outward because we never dared meet them within. St. Peppa doesn't vanquish the shadow. She integrates it. She holds her cross the way a five-year-old holds a stick — like it's the most natural thing in the world to stand your ground.

Not today Satan!

The toy held a teddy bear. The unconscious knew better. The cross appeared. That's what happens when Catholic school meets individuation meets a found toy on a sidewalk.

who jumped in every puddle without apology,
who laughed too loud and asked too many questions
and never once made herself smaller to make others comfortable —

pray for us.

Pray for those of us still learning
that joy is not frivolous,
that boundaries are not unkind,
that we are allowed to take up space
in our own one wild and precious life.

Teach us to snort when something is funny.
Teach us to say no like we mean it
and yes like we've been waiting our whole lives.

And when the world tells us to grow up,
remind us that the kingdom of heaven
belongs to those who still know how to jump.
